Taken 24min
One day in a session bestselling psychologist Gerald is
led to a magical realm by an enchanting young woman
named Emily and is barely able to function afterwards.
Her beauty as well as literary expertise has a
mesmerizing effect on what he thought was his highly
fortified mind, taking him to other dimensions causing him
to hallucinate romantic poetry. Not only that but he has
given his heart and soul to her. Or has she taken them?
His psychologist friend and colleague, the romantically
inclined Andrew, is thrilled as well as cautionary that his
stilted friend has found love and romance. This is Keat’s
La Belle Dame Sans Merci after all but she sounds
dangerous. He also learns that Gerald has written
another book based on his otherworldly experiences. Is it
another bestseller? We later discover that the book
actually comes from Emily and is steeped in alchemical
lore.
Gerald is not Emily’s only target. She has Gerald’s
publisher Diana in her sights and attempts to mesmerize
her in a meeting. She is surprised that Diana has similar
skills but overwhelms her non the less and Diana
complies to publish. Gerald, apparently days absent, is
sought by Andrew. In Gerald’s empty office he spots a
manuscript with a note bequeathing it to him. We see
Gerald and Emily joyously sipping wine, obviously in
another spell of Emily’s, or is it mutual this time? Finally
Emily is escorted to an unseen realm by nature spirits
leaving Gerald to ponder.
