A Mercenary Tale                                        18min

Where can you find a modern day mercenary? Look no
further then the countless private security companies
operating in Iraq and throughout the world - companies with
names like Blackwater. In this film we follow a mercenary
named Jon Tripp back to visit the militia-esq. school where
he trained, and we meet the charismatic and brutal men who
trained him. We learn that the rigors of five years as a
mercenary have left Jon conflicted about his career, but the
money, camaraderie, and action, make it hard for him to let
go. We also learn that the stark lack of regulations in the
industry have created an atmosphere so savage, that even
the men who work and teach in this trade, are calling for
change.

The Sari Soldiers                                         92min

Filmed over three years during the most pivotal time in
Nepal's modern history, The Sari Soldiers is an extraordinary
story of six women's courageous efforts to shape Nepal's
future in the midst of an escalating civil war against Maoist
insurgents and the King. When Devi, mother of a 15-year-old
girl, witnesses her niece being tortured and murdered by the
Royal Nepal Army, she speaks publicly about the atrocity.
The army abducts her daughter in retaliation, and Devi
embarks on a three-year struggle to uncover her daughter's
fate and see justice done. The Sari Soldiers follows her and
five other brave women, and intimately delves into the
extraordinary journey of these women on opposing sides,
through the democratic revolution that reshapes the
country's future.
