ALIVE IN HAVANA 12MIN
'Alive in Havana' is a story about Mario Mora, an Americanized Cuban struggling with life in Havana. While grateful that the Cuban government accepted him when he faced deportation from the United States in 1999, he speaks openly about the frustrations of daily life here. With a frankness rarely seen in this nation, Mario shares with us the ways his friends and neighbors contend with the hardships and politics. Most of all, he struggles with isolation from his family, who remain in the U.S.
A community chorus from Boston travels 3000 miles across Russia in a musical exchange that defies cultural boundaries. This eclectic group of characters thrown into the Siberian outback makes for a comedic, yet poignant journey. They teach us all a lesson in how individuals can make a difference.
