CARBON FOR WATER               Running time: 22 min

In Kenya's Western Province, most drinking water is
contaminated. The wood many Kenyans use to boil this water
to make it safe is increasingly valuable. Women and girls,
who bear the responsibility of finding water and fuel, often
miss school or work while seeking both fuel and water. Some
even encounter sexual violence. Yet waterborne illness
remains a daily--and life-threatening--reality for them and
their families. Carbon For Water introduces audiences to the
inspiring people who face these hardships, and explores one
company's innovative solution for improving the health of
millions of Kenyans and the environment in which they live.

URBAN ODYSSEY                        Running time: 46 min

Chronicling four seasons of unplugged, outdoor adventures
in greater Boston, MA, via three inner city teens and three
retirees. This film prompts electronics users to go outside.
These 6 characters are driven by a shared belief that their
'green' activities could lead those of us who've lost touch with
nature--back to the garden. Merging resources from two
Audubon Centers, they develop a joint project that fosters a
sense of place, strengthens relationships between individuals
and communities, and builds bridges across the generations.
They re-unite other urban dwellers with the vast array of
outdoor opportunities in ones own neighborhood, solidifying
the idea that when people spend time outside it can have a
lasting, positive impact on their personal lives and the future
of our natural heritage.
